14 Feb A day in Ancient Greece.
On Tuesday Wild Things and BFG classes dressed up as Ancient Greek slaves, Gods/Goddesses, heroes and mythical beasts to celebrate the end of their journey into life in Ancient Greece.
The children had great fun sampling food in our Greek restaurant where some were even brave enough to try the olives! Others made a Greek clay pot, wrote secret messages to Theseus in the Greek alphabet, acted out their favourite Greek myth in the theatre and constructed an impenetrable labyrinth made from Lego.
To top it off everyone took part in our very own Ancient Olympic Games where the Spartans, Athenians, Corinthians and Thebans ran, jumped and threw their way to victory.
Quotes from Wild Things and BFGs
- “It was an amazing day.”
- “I had a brilliant day. I mark it 100 out of 100 and I wish it never ended.”
- “I was really happy our team didn’t win the Olympics as the winners had to tidy up with Mrs Davis!”
