14 Nov Art Ambassador Trip to Bath Abbey & Gallery
On Friday, a group of nine Art Ambassadors (chosen by Mrs. Duncan for their contribution to the project) represented the school at the ‘Heroes of the Commonwealth’ commemorative service in Bath Abbey. We were invited to a private view at 1pm and the children were thrilled to see our picture on display in the 44AD Gallery. We discussed which of the twelve artworks were our favourites and why. After that, we had a hot chocolate in a café and then headed into Bath Abbey, along with the Mayor, the Lord Lieutenant of Somerset, eleven other schools and various VIPs. Our children’s behaviour was impeccable throughout the hour long service. Their favourite parts were the Military Wives Choir singing and the playing of The Last Post. After the service Mrs Duncan and Mrs Muxworthy attended the official opening of the exhibition and were presented with a limited edition Times Atlas of the World for the school.
On Monday 14th November, the whole of Paddington Class will be visiting the exhibition: https://rcsbath.org/heroes-of-the-commonwealth/
