Ann and Amy from the Dogs for Health charity came to visit Gruffalo Class on Thursday 9th Feb, so we could give them the donations of toys and food we collected in our reverse advent calendar. They bought Pepper and Molly with them, Molly is only 13 weeks old. Everyone in Gruffalo Class fed the dogs a little treat and we learnt to stroke their shoulders and backs. They don’t like their faces and ears being touched. Even children who were a little scared to begin with were brave enough to stroke the dogs by the end of the morning! We learnt about all the sorts of jobs that dogs can help people with and learnt that some dogs are trained to help people put on their shoes!
