22 Feb Children’s Mental Health Week 2023
Children’s Mental Health Week 2023 took place from 6-12 February 2023. This year’s theme is Let’s Connect.
As part of Children’s Mental Health week all classes across the federation have taken part in activities linked with making connections. We have talked about how important making connections with others is and how it can have a positive impact on how you feel. The children were fantastic at talking about their feelings and enjoyed taking part in the activities. Gruffalo Class made paper chains to link together people who are important to them. Elmer Class used a story called The Invisible String to think about how we are connected to important people and as Leo said “we aren’t really connected by string but by the heart!” They also created a puzzle with all the people and activities that link them with others. Paddington Class had a great time playing the hula hoop game and managed to get the hoop around the circle without dropping hands- not an easy challenge! Wild Things and BFG took part in The Taskmaster Treasure Hunt each day they had great fun solving the clues as a group
