28 Jun Crest of a Wave Sports Day
We’d like to thank parents and carers for their support at our Crest of a Wave themed sports day. It was fantastic to see the whole federation out in force with BFG class assuming the role of team leaders.
Whole School Challenge – Emperor Penguin Migration
The aim was to collectively walk/jog/run the same distance as an Emperor Penguin treks during their Antarctic winter migration. (75 miles or 120km) Unfortunately, the children were just shy of this target, managing 114.8km or 71.33 miles. However, as this was a WHOLE school challenge, Mrs Davis has added in the distance she walked during sports day (12.05km), which gives us a grand total of 78.82 miles (126.85km). This is a fantastic distance, considering how muggy and warm the afternoon was.
