At Rode and Norton School Federation (RNSF) we believe every child should have a chance to be a scientist, a writer, a performer, an engineer, a maker, an athlete…. Indeed, childhood is the time to dream big and we have the responsibility to ‘light the spark’ and give children a taste of all possibilities imaginable - even if these possibilities don’t yet exist!

Our intention is for our children to learn about themselves as developing individuals and as members of their communities, building on their own experiences and experiences of others. We want to provide them with the ability to make safe and informed choices, taking responsibility for their actions, respecting and valuing differences and being the best that they can be. Children will learn to show acceptance of others regardless of their background, religion, race, gender or sexuality, and develop their understanding of others.

We have given careful thought to the essential elements of a playful childhood, the memory-making moments that children will remember well into adulthood. The life experiences that will be kept alive and passed down to our children’s children.
