14 Dec Magical Marvellous Makery Wonka Challenge Results 2018
MAGICAL MARVELLOUS MAKERY WONKA CHALLENGE RESULTS 2018
On November 5th the children at Rode & Norton St Philip bravely and enthusiastically accepted our Wonka Challenge to become entrepreneurs for a month. Each class was given a crisp £20 note from Mrs Tommey and their task was to make as much profit as they could before the end of November.
Everyone rose to the challenge and demonstrated their breath-taking abilities to be creative and to use their imagination, to take risks and try things out, to work as a team with all the other Oompa Loompas in their class and to understand what their customers wanted, just like Willy Wonka!
Children from Elmer, Wild Things, Paddington and BFG Classes created delicious gingerbread families, beautiful decorated tiles, stunning plates, fabulous photo frames and Christmas decorations and cards which were all snapped up by happy customers. In addition, Gruffalo Class created music and went busking in Frome and at the Makers Market, in Norton St Philip, to delighted crowds. The buzz in both schools has been tangible and I am now delighted to share that the amazing total profit made……and I hope you are sitting down……was a fantastic £1039.79. Every class has done amazingly well. This was a truly extraordinary effort by all and huge congratulations must go to all the children and staff for being so brilliant and to all our customers, for being so supportive. We will let you know what each class decides to spend their money on next term.
