In addition to our wrap around care our schools also offer focused after school clubs usually running between 3.00/3.15pm and 4.00/4.15pm (unless otherwise stated). Unless indicated, please express your interest with the school office. After school club provision changes termly and our current offer for the Autumn 2024 Term is:
Rode Methodist First School
- Monday 3-4pm Art Club with Helen Elkin-Stay. Open to Year 2, 3 & 4. Limited to 14 children.
- Monday 1-2pm Drumming with Chris large. Open to Year 2, 3 & 4. Limited to 12 children, sessions are 20 minutes long
- Tuesday 1-3.30pm LAMDA with Stephanie Harrison. Limited to 15 children, sessions are 30 minutes long.
LAMDA stands for: London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. In each session, they work on voice, articulation, reading poems, presentation skills and Drama games. They also work towards a LAMDA exam every March (optional) where they have to perform a chosen poem in front of a friendly examiner. - Tuesday 3-4pm Djembe with Abi Bailey. Open to Year 2, 3 & 4. Children will have the opportunity to learn a variety of sounds and rhythms on the West African djembe drum, occasionally djun djun drums, bells and shakers along with songs, traditional stories and dance movements. - Wednesday 1-2pm Lunchtime Football with Martin Phillips; ex premier league EFL player & UEFA B Coach; Limited to 16 children
Also on Wednesday 3-4pm, Football Club with Martin Phillips. Limited to 16 children. - Wednesday 3-4pm Music Club with Rose Asprey. Limited to 12 children

- Friday 12.30-2.30pm Guitar Lessons with Danny Green. Limited to 12 children

Please note, If you decide to stop clubs mid way through the term; full payment is due unless we can fill your child’s space. For music and LAMDA; sessions are progressive and require a half terms notice to opt out.
Children in receipt of Free School Meals or families on low income may qualify for help from the school, with the costs of after school clubs. Please contact the school office on info@rnsf.co.uk, confidentially for further details.
