02 Dec Science Fair
On Friday afternoon Paddington, Wildthings and BFG Classes held a Science Fair at Rode to show off their science learning to their parents and children and parents from Norton St Philip. BFG were showcasing ‘States of Matter’ experiments. The highlight was the Oobleck! Ask your child how it can change from solid to a liquid. Many thanks to Madame Fabre for cleaning up the carpet! Wild Things and LFGs celebrated Rocks and Fossils and were accompanied by the ‘Expert Rock Man’ who shared his geological expertise. The exploding volcano was a highlight and meant that every child has achieved one of 15 Things to do before you’re 9 and 3/4; ‘Blow things up’! Paddington Class assisted their grown ups to design a perfect water carrier as part of their Materials topic. Outside, they tested their buckets and used measuring skills to see how much of the 200 mls of water they started with ended up at the end of the track. Many thanks to everyone who came and supported the children and to FRANs who provided refreshments.
