14 Oct We’re going on a river hunt!
On Wednesday morning the sun was shining, the birds were tweeting, and Paddington Class were getting ready to go on their much anticipated walk around Rode. When I think about our walk, I am reminded of the book, ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ by Michael Rosen because we faced some interesting terrains and we couldn’t go over it, we couldn’t go under it, so we had to go through it! There were lots of muddy puddles to wade through, a small stream to cross and a field of cows to navigate! The children were fantastic and very much enjoyed the adventure we were on. Our walk was part of our Geography lessons and our research into our local area. We talked about the differences between villages, towns and cities, and we also looked out for the different human and physical geographical features in Rode.
‘My favourite part of the walk was crossing the stream because it was very muddy and fun’ – Adelina
